Free Hairdressing in Adelaide
This is a short list of free hairdressers. Many others exist in hiding, but appear at various underclass venues throughout Adelaide.
What may worry some is the risk of catching diseases from homeless scene hairdressers. Free hairdressers I’ve questioned say they check each customer’s hair and scalp, but I’ve never seen anyone rejected. Nor have I heard of anyone who has caught a disease.
St Bede’s Anglican Church Hall

Trish Davids offers free professional hairdressing, usually every first Tuesday of the month at 9:30am. She is a professional who cuts hair for a living.
Pilgrim Church Hall

Professional hairdressers associated with Stefan and the Angels of Adelaide offer free haircuts at Christmas and Easter in the Pilgrim Church hall from about 4:30 - 6:30pm.

Homeless Connect Health Day
Open air hairdressing from 10:00am to 2:00pm, usually in October. Last year it was by professional hairdresser Vee and others from, Blow: It’s a Hair Thing.

A free hairdresser cuts hair there every six weeks. It’s good to get in first because she gets nervous after about two hours for fear of getting a parking ticket.
277 Pirie Street, Adelaide
A qualified hairdresser named Danielle does free hairdressing on the first and second Wednesday evenings of the month at DUO Express. Entrance is from the back of the building. It is important to book immediately upon arrival at 5:00pm when the doors open. There is also a free meal at 6:00pm.
